This page is maintained by Melovix, operated by Ettayeb Mohammed Soulaimane(the "seller", "we", "us"), to explain how we handle personal data when you use melovixloops.com (the "Service"). You should review it and confirm it accurately reflects our practices.
1. Controller
Ettayeb Mohammed Soulaimane acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@melovix.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email, display name, profile info, hashed credentials.
- Usage data: loops played, downloaded, favorited; credit balance; device/browser and IP address.
- Support data: messages you send us.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor Paddle (see section 5). We receive limited data such as subscription status, plan, country, and the last four digits of your card — never full card numbers.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Providing the Service and your account — performance of a contract.
- Billing, fraud prevention, tax and accounting — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- Security, abuse prevention, product improvement, analytics — legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails (if any) — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service:
- Hosting, database, storage and authentication providers.
- Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record and payment processor, which handles checkout, billing, tax, invoicing, subscription management, refunds, and fraud checks. Paddle receives your name, email, billing address, IP, and payment method data. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where legally required.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Payments and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and, in that capacity, processes your personal data as an independent controller for payment, tax, and fraud purposes. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active, plus up to 24 months after closure to handle disputes and legal obligations. Billing and tax records are kept for up to 10 years as required by applicable tax law. Support messages are kept for up to 3 years. Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email hello@melovix.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. International transfers
Some of our providers, including Paddle, may process data outside your country. Where required we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, hashed credentials, and least-privilege service roles. No system is 100% secure.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. If we add analytics or marketing cookies later, we will request consent where required.
11. Changes
We may update this notice; material changes will be communicated by email or in-app.
